Knock Knock Knock, the door opens.
"You are very brave to venture on the threshold of this dark place."
"It's amazing what a rainstorm will bring someone to do."
The front door of the old manor slowly opens wider and the master of the house motions for you, his new guest to come inside. You are now stepping inside the foyer dripping wet and freezing cold. All you can see is the blue and white flashes of lightening that are reflecting on the glass front of a big grandfather clock and the small glow from a candle that he holds in his hand....... The houling wind grabs ahold of the front door and herls it shut with a great force.
"You have made it inside my ...Halloween Home... We will take good care of you during your long stay here."
("Did he just say...Long stay?") Ahhhh sir, you say....I thank you u u u for allowing me to come in out of this terrible rain storm, but I will only be e e e here for a short time....just until the storm passes.
Just as well....because the storm's that hover over this old house seems to never end.
That's why I call it my Halloween Home.
Because it reminds me of all the deep and dark things that come about at Halloween time.
During these dreadful storms, the electricity never seems to work. But we shall walk to a room by candle light. There we shall find a glowing fire where you shall warm yourself and begin to dry.
Where Shall you walk to?? You get to pick.
my parlor by candle light, my study or the waiting room.
