Theme Party: A theme party is a party that centers around a certain type of theme and it's very ovious in this picture, the host went with a color theme of black and white. The colors black & white can be dressed up or dressed down. These colors are used a lot for cocktail parties, over the hill parties, wedding parties and belive it or not for a Halloween party... to represent good & evil.

Food & Drink Parties :  Food parties continue to be popular all around the world. Some of our favorite are chocolate tasting parties, candlelight cocktails,  pig pickins, wine tasting, tea parties and brunches. Food parties can be based on all desserts, all finger food or all foods of a certain color. Popular colors being black & white, black-white-red, red-white-blue.

Black & White Food: Food parties are popular with color themes as well. This photo shows a color theme of black & white food. Not only are the decorations in black and white but so are the foods too. Food ideas could be chocolate cupcakes with vanilla cream icing & choco shavings, or vanilla cake with chocolate icing. Although chocolate is actually brown, the dark rich color passes off for black. Others could be white cheeses, nuts, white toast & black caviar.

Dinner Party: A dinner party is a formal social gathering at which people eat dinner together, usually in the host's own home. At the least formal dinner parties, a buffet of food is provided on a table or counter, and the guests choose items from the buffet. In this photo the main course is not pictured. So this table setting could be a casual get together with no main meal or it could be the dessert table after a meal.

Traditional Parties: Traditional parties such as the English tea party or the modern cocktail party, are social gatherings within a fairly formal, or at least stylized, atmosphere. These parties often have roots in tradition which can be regional, cultural, or specific to a single family. Most traditional parties will always showcase beautiful flower arrangements to set off the table.

Pop in your mouth foods: All parties need pop in your mouth foods. You will find that not all guests will eat at a party where you have to toast a plate around so a great tip is to have a few pop in your mouth foods. If the guest is afraid of spilling on a new cocktail dress she may prefer to keep one hand on the champagne and the other hand free to pop something in her mouth. Candy bites are perfect for this.

Drinks A Must: All parties have to offer drinks. You just can't get around it. A great thing to remember is not everyone drinks wine and champagne so make sure you offer something non alcoholic that's similar to it. A Sparkling drink would be a good option. Carbonated water (also known as club soda, soda water, sparkling water, seltzer, or fizzy water) Mix with fruit juice or cider.
If you like champagne we bet you would like hosting a champagne breakfast!

Create Comfort: Comfort is a sense of physical or psychological ease. A party to remember will always center around things that create a degree of comfort. "A degree of psychological comfort can be achieved by recreating experiences that are associated with pleasant memories, such as engaging in familiar activities, maintaining the presence of familiar objects, and consumption of comfort foods. Cozy comfort would be a glowing fire or candlelight and puffy pillows.

Fruit & Cheese: History tells us Ancient Greek mythology credited Aristaeus with the discovery of cheese and by Roman times, cheese was an everyday food and cheesemaking a mature art. That's why cheese blesses all our parties because fruit, cheese and bread have been part of the dinner table for centuries. It looks very eligant and any price range of cheese can be found.

Special Touches: Take a look at this beautiful pie. Canned fruit could be used but a better choice is fresh berries smothered in confectionary sugar. Absolutely mouth watering and appealing to the eye. Use cloth napkins instead of paper, use real flowers instead of fake, twine cloth fabrick through the serving dishes as the photo above.

Homemade Bread:  There's no comparison to fresh baked breads and we promise guests will know the diffrence. Make your bread fresh and remember to offer herb butters instead of plain butter. It takes no time to make and you want to mix the butters ahead of time so the flavors can mingle in the frig.

Luxury Food: Caviar, sometimes called black caviar, is a luxury delicacy, consisting of processed, salted, non-fertilized sturgeon roe. The roe can be "fresh" (non-pasteurized) or pasteurized, the latter having much less culinary and economic value. Caviar is commercially marketed worldwide as a delicacy and is eaten as a garnish or a spread; for example, with hors d'œuvres.
