Happy National Hot Tea Month Everyone!
Well January means New Years resolutions and National Hot Tea month all in one. I think one resolution we can keep that would benifit us all is to add hot tea to our daily menus. The potential benefits of adding tea to our diets is an easy and inexpensive addition to our good health. Studies show that tea aids in the ongoing battle of the bulge and increases the body's immunity to colds and flu. 3 cups of black tea per day produced 5 times the amount of germ-fighting cells. Scientists have found that tea contains antioxidants, substances that can reduce oxidative damage in the body, helping to maintain healthy cells and tissues. The latest epidemiological research suggests that drinking black tea may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease too. Wow! So drink your hot tea everyone. It not only taste good but it's good for us too.
