These cute little cupcake are just perfect for classroom Halloween parties. Young children absolutely love bright colors and by using the large multi colored gum drops, the children get to pick several color choices.  Boys usually pick the black and green spiders where as the girls usually pick the pick, red or white ones.

String licorice candy is just perfect for the spider legs too. Many times the children will take the spiders off of the cupcake and play with them while eating their cupcake itself. The little colorful spiders are so cute till everyone wants to keep them but the whole thing can be eaten.

Orange is the most dominent color of Halloween so using easy vanilla frosting and adding a bit of orange food coloring, then stir is all you need to get a beautiful bright orange base to put your spider web on.

The web itself is just a few circles of chocolate that has been slide through  with a toothpick.

First, make the spiders by combining the chocolate chips and milk in a glass bowl. Microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until smooth. Stir in the peanuts or cereal and chow mein noodles.

Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Stick on extra noodles for spider legs and chill. Frost the cupcakes white. Then top each cupcake with a spider. Makes 24.
