Tips in Creating Your Legacy

Good friendships enhance an individual's sense of happiness and overall well-being.
Relationships take place in a great variety of contexts, such as family, friends, marriage, associates, work, clubs, neighborhoods, and churches. Great friendships last a lifetime. People in a relationship tend to influence each other, share their thoughts and feelings, and engage in activities together. Because of this interdependence, most things that change or impact one member of the relationship will have some level of impact on the other member.

Have A Conscience
Conscience is an aptitude, faculty, intuition, or judgment of the intellect that distinguishes right from wrong. In psychological terms conscience is often described as leading to feelings of remorse when a human does things that go against his/her moral values, and to feelings of rectitude or integrity when actions conform to such norms.

The "voice within" and the "inner light".
Some contemporary Christian churches and religious groups hold the moral teachings of the Ten Commandments, or of Jesus, as the highest authority in any situation, regardless of the extent to which it involves responsibilities detailed by legislation.

Teach & Learn the Importance of Saving
Drag out the piggy bank and put it back on the dressor. There's a reason why we buy our children a piggy bank & sometimes adults forget about what the lesson is. There's no rule that says an adult can't have a piggy bank too and pass on the tradition to the rest of your family generations.

"Personal finance is the application of the principles of finance to the monetary decisions of an individual or family unit. It addresses the ways in which individuals or families obtain, budget, save, and spend monetary resources over time, taking into account various financial risks and future life events. Components of personal finance might include checking and savings accounts, credit cards and consumer loans, investments in the stock market, retirement plans, social security benefits, insurance policies, and income tax management."

See National Financial Awareness Day - Celebrated also in August on August 14-
The www.accessmylibrary.com website explains that "National Financial Awareness" Day is a day "established to educate the public in the basic financial principals needed to form the foundation for financially sound practices from early adulthood through retirement." This is a great legacy to pass on to your kids!

"Remember what is done in the dark will eventually be brought to the light."
We all need to be reminded of this popular saying. It's really true that what is done in the dark will be brought to the light. Teach your children to strive at doing the right things in life because when you don't it will bite you in the butt later.

Live Life To It's Fullest!
Enjoy each and every day no matter what it brings. If one person tells you it's a boring day, don't accept that. Let your eyes see the peace and tranquility of the day. When it rains don't let yourself focus on the storm, let yourself remember how good the rain feels & how wonderful it is to nap in a drizzle of rain. Always strive to see the good in life by living life to it's fullest.
