Color Themes
Color Themes: Color theme parties base their whole party around a color. For example: The Color Green - you would ask all your guest to wear the color green or bring something green. The drinks served would be green colored alcoholic drinks with green lime slices in the drinks or a non-alcoholic drinks like green colaid. Green foods would be served like: garden salads, broccoli, green beans, green soup (like split pea soup), chicken covered in green gravy (white gravy with green food coloring), and we can't leave out green desserts like: green cookies with green sprinckles, green jello, green cakes with green icing (Patachio Cake is popular). Serving dishes would be shades of green. A great party prize would be a beautiful green plant. Garden Parties love to host "Green Parties" all the time and St. Patrick's Day is known as a green party day as well. National Pink Day is popular for pink parties.

Fruit Themes: For example: "Lemons" - you would ask all your guest to wear the color yellow or come in lemon costumes. The food served would be lemon flavored alcoholic drinks with lemon slices in the drinks or non-alcoholic drinks like lemonade. Lemon cake, lemon meringue pie or lemon squares would be a few dessert ideas. Serving dishes would be shades of yellow and a large lemon center piece on the table would be the typical centerpiece. A garden party is a social gathering with food provided, in the open in a park or a garden. "Unlike a picnic party or barbecue party, which are informal, a garden party can be a prestigious event." For example, invitations to parties of the British Sovereign, held at Buckingham Palace Gardens, are a great honour, and are very rare except for those in traditionally invited high offices." Many games are traditionally played at garden parties. "In Champs Elysees, Paris, there is an annual Garden Party on 14 July on the occasion of Bastille Day." Garden parties are very popular with gardening groups and clubs. And with anybody who has a great garden to show off!
