What type of food is popular with chocolate fondue?
Chocolate is good with just about anything but the most popular foods dipped in chocolate fondue is poundcake, angel food cake, donut holes, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, graham crackers, pretzels and fruits such as strawberries, cherries, bananas or apples. Don't forget that you can use white chocolate too!
Dessert fondue recipes began appearing in the 1960s. Slices of fruit or pastry are dipped in a caquelon of melted chocolate. Other dessert fondues can include coconut, honey, caramel and marshmallow.
Traditional Chocolate Fondue Recipe Below:
8 oz Premium Chocolate (chopped)
1 cup Whipping Cream
2 tsp Grand Marnier (optional)
Over low flame, heat Cream until warm (DO NOT BOIL)
Slowly add chocolate while stirring
Mixture will become smooth
Stir in liqueur

Fondue has long been considered sex food because it has always been a romantic way for couples to eat for many years. Strawberries dipped in melted chocolate is a favorite food to feed each other. There's just something sexual and sensual about feeling the warm chocolate against your fingers as you reach over to give your special loved one a bite.
